As part of an upcoming campaign for Airbnb, our client, Thrive PR, were looking for talent with both a media and social influence, with an authentic passion for travel to send on a holiday to Western Australia. We paired Airbnb with Peter Bol, a two-time Olympic runner and the first Australian in 53 years to qualify for the Men’s 800m Final on the track.
Working collaboratively with Airbnb and Thrive PR, Saxton Engage sent Peter on a holiday to popular WA-destination, Broome, to highlight all the exciting attractions the state has to offer. Through the creation of a bespoke local itinerary, Peter showcased key tourist destinations across Western Australia, shared Instagram posts of his adventure, and appeared in media interviews highlighting what he loved about Broome and his experience with Airbnb. The whole campaign objective was to promote the importance of local travel and the images of this amazing experience speak for themselves.
