Paralympic Medalists to Watch

At Saxton we have been closely following the Paralympics, cheering on our incredible Australian athletes, including the talented Saxton Speakers competing on the world stage. Here are some outstanding Aussie Medalists available for booking at Saxton, ready to inspire and engage your audience.

Australia finished ninth on the gold medal table and eighth on total medals won. 17 Australian team athletes won multiple medals. Six of those were dual gold medallists.

Alexa Leary (swimming), Callum Simpson (swimming), Lauren Parker (triathlon/cycling) and Tim Hodge (swimming) each won two gold medals and a silver medal.

Qian Yang (table tennis), and James Turner (athletics) each won two gold medals.

🥇Curtis McGrath - Australian para canoeist Curtis McGrath has had a fantastic 2024 Paris Paralympics campaign, defending his Para Canoe title winning his third-consecutive Paralympic gold in the Men's 200m Kayak single final. An emotional Curtis McGrath has praised his family after adding another chapter to his decorated career by winning a fourth Paralympics gold medal.

🥇🥇🥈 Alexa Leary - Many would recognise the name Alexa Leary as the rising Australian swim star who carried her Mixed Medley Relay team to an insane comeback victory. She not only won gold in the Mixed 4x100m Medley Relay 34pts but also in the Individual Women's 100m Freestyle S9 setting two world records along the way. She also won silver in the Mixed 4x100m Freestyle Relay 34pts showing great courage and determination.

🥇🥇🥈 Lauren Parker - Lauren won gold in the Women's Road Race H1-4 and the Women's Individual PTWC Triathlon as well as getting a silver medal in the Women's Road Time Trial H1-3. When Lauren Parker won the triathlon and the road race she became the first Australian to win in two different sports at the same Paralympic Games since Vic Renalson claimed gold in athletics and weightlifting in 1968 in Tel Aviv.

🥇🥇🥈 Callum Simpson - 17 year old from Sunshine Coast won gold in the Men's 100m Freestyle S8 event and the Mixed 4x100m Medley Relay 34pts, as well as a silver medal in the Mixed 4x100m Freestyle Relay 34pts.

🥇🥇🥈 Tim Hodge - Tim secured himself gold in the Men's 200m Medley SM9 event and the Mixed 4x100m Medley Relay 34pts, as well as a silver medal in the Men's 100m butterfly S9 event.

🥇🥇 Qian Yang - Yang Qian OAM is a Chinese-Australian table tennis player who has only a right arm. Yang has won six medals - two gold and four silver in three Paralympic Games. In Paris, she won the Women's doubles WD20 Table Tennis and the Women's singles class 10.

🥇🥇 James Turner - In athletics, James Turner delivered an outstanding performance, breaking two records. He set new benchmarks by winning the men’s 100m T36 with a Paralympic record of 11.85 seconds and the 400m T36 with a world record time of 51.54 seconds.

🥇 Vanessa Low - Vanessa made history, setting a world record in the women’s long jump T61 with a leap of 5.45m, earning her the gold medal.

🥈🥉 Madison De Rozario - After revealing the emotional toll she had faced of losing her father just before the opening ceremony of the Paralympics, Rozario showed much resilience and strength to push through and secure herself silver in the Women's Marathon T54 and bronze in the Women's 5000m T54 events.

🥉🥉 Grant 'Scooter' Patterson - Won bronze in the Men's 150m Medley SM3 and in the Men's 50m breaststroke SB2, this being his fourth Summer Paralympics.

🥈Ahmed Kelly - Ahmed Kelly won back-to-back silver in the Men's 150m Medley SM3, just hours after being wrongly disqualified and then reinstated after a successful protest by Swimming Australia securing his silver.

🥇 Korey Boddington - Set a new Paralympic record in the Men's Cycling C4 1000m time trial during the qualifying round and went on to secure gold.

🥇 Emily Petricola - Smashed the world record in the Women's Cycling C4 3000m individual pursuit qualification and went on to secure gold.

🥇 Benjamin Hance - Broke the world record in the Men's 100m backstroke S14 in the heats and went on to secure gold.

🥇 Nikki Ayers and Jed Altschwager - The rowing duo set a Paralympic best in the PR3 mixed doubles sculls heats and the pair later won gold in the event.

🥇 Thomas Gallagher - Won himself gold in the Men's 50m Freestyle S10
