Feedback
To whom it may concern, I am writing in reference to Demi Lynch, who runs the Kaleidoscope News and the Faternise Podcast. I’ve worked with Demi in my role as a Programmer at the PayPal Melbourne Fashion Festival. Due to Demi’s reputation in the plus size community, in particular being a champion for body positivity and fat liberation she was approached by myself to host a panel as part of the Festival’s “Fashion Weekend Live Stage” in March of 2023, this was a live podcast that was held in the Melbourne’s Emporium Centre. In addition, Demi attended Festival events and was supplied with media accreditation. Having Demi involved with the Festival adds to the richness, diversity and sparks conversation about fashion being for everybody. Demi’s lived experience and ability to communicate this to an audience is highly-valued, I have no hesitation in recommending Demi for any speaking or hosting, she is professional and engaging. Demi Lynch spoke at our NO MORE: National Rally Against Violence in King George Square, Brisbane in July 2024. From my first interaction with Demi over email, she was incredibly easy to speak to and that carried through to the day of the event where she brought a friendly presence. Demi’s speech itself was powerful, compelling, and in complete alignment with the purpose and mission of the rally. She engaged the audience throughout her speech and used her platform to call out the media on their treatment of female murder victims in Australia. We would be honoured to have Demi speak at future events and I would not hesitate to reach out to her again.
