Ed Phillips is currently the host of Temptation (the new Sale of the Century). In joining the Temptation team Ed became a member of a select group, following Tony Barber and Glenn Ridge, to become the third host of the most successful and longest-running quiz show in Australia.
Previous experience
Nine Network: A seasoned presenter, reporter and quiz show host, Ed has a long and successful history in television. Ed worked as a sports reporter for National Nine News from 1997 to 1998, hosted the quiz show Pot of Gold (1994-95), challenged his knowledge on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire's Battle of the Game Show Hosts and set up several of his colleagues, including Temptation's co-host Livinia Nixon, on the Candid Camera-style program, Surprise Surprise.
TV: After the Nine National News Ed continued building his career in television:
- In 1998 to 1999 Ed was the host Channel Ten's Battle of the Sexes.
- Then from 1999 to 2005 was part of the Good Morning Australia team on Ten where prepared live crosses, travel packages and entertainment reports. He hosted Ten's Battle of the Sexes from 1998 to 1999.
- He joined the Weather Channel on Foxtel in 2004.
- In 2005 Ed became the host of Channel Nine's Temptation which is where he currently remains.
Ed began his career as a radio DJ in 1988, working for nine years with the Triple M network and three with TTFM/Mix FM.
As well as his flourishing media career, Ed is a former surf lifesaver and continues to enjoy cycling, swimming and triathlons.
An experienced presenter, MC and keynote speaker, Ed is very active and highly sought after on the corporate speaking circuit.
