Elly Wicks is a Television Presenter and MC.
Elly worked with the 7 Network for over five years. She began her career in regional news as a Weather Presenter with 7NEWS Regional in 2017. In this role, she produced and presented the weather across all of regional NSW, developing a great understanding of Meteorology and honing her skills as a Television Presenter.
Elly was then offered the role as the 6 pm Regional Newsreader in 2019. During this time she led five NSW bulletins through some of Australia’s biggest events, including the summer bushfires, the northern NSW catastrophic flooding event and the COVID-19 pandemic. Elly then progressed to Metropolitan television, joining the 7NEWS Melbourne team in 2022, where she was best known for her colour stories, focusing more on her love of entertainment, fashion, lifestyle and sports reporting.
Elly has a strong background in Sport and Horse Racing. Prior to her time with 7, she worked for TAB and Sky Racing. Over the years, Elly has interviewed some of the biggest names in local and international sport and racing. In recent years, she presented for the Entain Group. In this role, Elly interviewed sports and racing talent and presented market updates across various sporting codes including NRL, UFC and A-League.
Elly has MC’d for a number of AFL and NRL Clubs, including the Melbourne Storm. She has also hosted at various racing clubs across Australia, including the Victoria Racing Club, throughout the 2025 Autumn Carnival. She has hosted a number of ladies' events at the Gold Coast Turf Club and throughout the Spring Carnival in Melbourne. Elly hosts for a number of corporate organisations. Her event hosting roles range from reporting at the Formula 1 Rolex Australian Grand Prix to “In Conversation” panel events for The Star Entertainment Group, interviewing celebrities and sports stars.
Elly is passionate about the entertainment industry, having a love of pop culture, news, and sport. Her interest in beauty, fashion and travel is second to none, and she aims to become more involved in lifestyle television, having studied Fashion & Business at RMIT & Melbourne School of Fashion.
Elly is an ambassador for Ronald McDonald House Victoria. She enjoys raising awareness and, most importantly, much-needed funds to support families with seriously ill children. She has been involved with Ronald McDonald House charities for over four years and was thrilled to be the VRC Pin & Win Charity Ambassador for the 2024 Melbourne Cup Carnival.
