Entrepreneur Grace Brennan lives on a sheep and cropping farm in Warren, NSW with her husband Jack and their four children.
In 2019 Grace founded #buyfromthebush, a ground-breaking social media campaign in
support of rural communities facing drought. The campaign celebrates th e creativity, innovation and ingenuity of people in rural communities and calls on people in the city to invest in bush business as a means of crisis-proofing rural Australia. In 2020, Grace launched an online marketplace for Buy From The Bush as well as a rural accommodation directory, Stay In The Bush. Both are online platforms connecting rural makers, creators, artists and retailers with global customers.
Her Buy From The Bush campaign has generated over $14M for small and micro businesses based in rural Australia, changed perceptions, and united city and country.
Grace has successfully partnered with multinationals like PayPal, Visa and Meta to deliver
capacity-building opportunities and, in an
unprecedented way, connecting Australian bush business with global customers.
Grace was named by the Sydney Morning Herald as one of the nine most influential women entrepreneurs of 2020 and was invited by the Premier of NSW to give the Australia Day Address to the nation. In 2021 she was named NSW Regional Woman of the Year and was a NSW finalist for Australian of The Year.
