Helen Kapalos is the East Coast presenter of the Seven Network's evening public affairs programme Today Tonight, which she joined in February 2013, and a former senior news anchor with Network Ten (Ten News at Five) and the Nine Network (Nightline, National Nine News and A Current Affair).
Previous experience
NBN: Prior to over six years with Ten and five years with Nine, Helen was a journalist with NBN, Nine's Newcastle regional affiliate, writing, directing and producing an award-winning documentary on the closure of BHP as well as several news specials and stints as a late news presenter.
Radio: She began her career as a reporter at ABC Radio in Newcastle in 1994 before moving to SBS after winning a national scholarship. Helen worked in several areas at SBS, including news, the network documentary unit, the indigenous cultural affairs program ICAM and health show Second Opinion.
MC: A veteran of every major Australian television network, Helen is an accomplished and much in-demand MC and corporate host.
