Martin Adams is an ethical-AI entrepreneur who has successfully built and sold numerous AI and ML companies in the creative industries over the last 20 years. As an innovation advisor to CEOs, corporates and governments around the world, he is an engine and advocate for those who believe technology can create deeper human connection.
Martin has been recognised as one of the UK’s Top 100 Entrepreneurs on the Maserati list and a Top 50 UK Innovator by Penrose. The technologies he has helped develop represent some of the biggest shifts in creativity and human connection since the invention of the computer, including as Co-Founder and CEO of Codec.ai (until it's acquisition in 2023) and Co-Founder of Metaphysic.ai (Time Magazine 100 Most Influential Business 2023). Given his background as an intellectual property and privacy lawyer he is particularly interested in pushing sustainable and ethical AI technologies and believes everyone else should be too.
He takes pride in having spent 20 years building game-changing technology in non-obvious fields like the creative, cultural and entertainment industries (through Metaphysic.ai, Codec.ai and previously Songkick, which was acquired by Warner Music). He currently focuses on smashing the worlds of brand building, Hollywood and Silicon Valley together through AI.
Martin is a regular speaker on AI, Generative AI, digital transformation, future of work and the entertainment industries and recent keynotes include the European Commission, Universal, Oracle, Alan Turing Institute for AI, Telefonica, Warner Bros, Aegis Insurance, Unilever, Deloitte, Arabian Business & Google.
Martin graduated from Harvard Law School, and worked at the Berkman Centre (Harvard) on the first test-case in digital IP (the Obama 'Hope Poster case) and as a New York attorney on cutting edge digital-IP issues, and so he deeply understands the technical, ethical and regulatory issues that underpin AI, deep tech and innovation as we move towards a more immersive Internet.
He is a World Economic Forum ‘Global Innovator’ for 2024.
