TV: He has appeared on television literally hundreds of times, having done commentary slots for CNN, BBC, CNBC, FOX TV and others.
Journalism: He wrote the popular Travellers' Tales column in the Far Eastern Economic Review for 11 years, and has won awards for his journalism.
Author: He has written more than 20 books and is among the few East Asian authors to be internationally published in multiple languages. His best known books are The Feng Shui Detective comedy-crime novel series and a set of children's books written under the name Sam Jam the Story Man.
Warm Up: He used to do warm-up talks for visiting big-name speakers (Dudley Moore, Chris Patten, etc.) until the speakers complained that he was "a hard act to follow".
Personal: Vittachi was born in Sri Lanka and lives in Hong Kong. He is married to an Englishwoman and has three adopted Chinese children. He will be doing international tours of schools in Asia and Australia in 2006.
