Good Mourning: Changing the way we think and talk about grief, one honest conversation at a time
Sal and Im are the co-hosts of the Good Mourning podcast, authors of Good Mourning: Honest Conversations about Grief and Loss, community leaders and leopard-print-loving friends on a mission to make the topic of grief more accessible for all. They do this by facilitating honest conversations that educate and inspire. They're fully-fledged grievers who understand just how tough grief is, and how little we talk about it. In late 2019 and early 2020, their mums both died suddenly. Both in their early thirties, it turned their worlds upside down. As they both coped with the magnitude of loss, they thought they were going crazy, and wondered if what they were experiencing was ‘normal’. Feeling alone, they searched for support which led them to a chance meeting where they became fast friends. Sal and Im both struggled to find relatable resources that explored all elements of grief. Good Mourning was born from a desire to change that, creating a space that opens up the conversation about what grief is really like. Good Mourning's purpose is to help others feel less alone and educate people with honesty and humour. And don’t worry, you’ll find no doom and gloom here, just down-to-earth and authentic grief support. Three years into their journey and they're a top global grief podcast, authors, speakers, grief educators and have built an engaged community of fellow grievers worldwide. They've shared conversations with some of the world’s most prominent thought leaders, and have been called “passionate change-makers” by Australian Women's Health. They've also been interviewed by top media outlets including Marie Claire, Popsugar, Mamamia, BBC, and The Sydney Morning Herald and spoke at Vivid Sydney 2023. But really, Good Mourning is much more than any of these things. It’s a movement changing the way we think and talk about grief.Good Mourning Live on The Morning Show
