Sarah Macdonald is a Broadcaster, Writer and communicator of much experience and passion. Sarah is best known as the former presenter for the Mornings program on ABC Radio Sydney.
She studied Psychology at university before winning a prized cadetship at the ABC, she then became Triple J’s political reporter and then presented the Morning Show across the nation in the late 90s.
Sarah left to live in India, where she wrote the best-selling ‘Holy Cow’, which has been translated into several languages and became a travel bible for India.
Sarah returned to radio in 2017 to build the Weekend Nightlife Show on ABC Radio and presented the beloved Evening Show around NSW and the ACT from 2020-2023 where the Quiz became a nightly event for many families through fire, floods and covid lockdown.
Sarah co-presents the Full Catastrophe a storytelling event, podcast and book and her other books include ‘So You’re Having a Teenager.
Sarah now writes regularly for the SMH. She loves to help others tell their stories through media and presentation training and has worked with academics, students and executives to help them feel confident on stage or in front of the camera or microphone.

Sarah has interviewed famous film stars, rock gods, prime ministers, everyday Australians and even - against the adage - animals and children. She is able to converse with all with great interest and skill at helping them tell their story well. Sarah is also highly skilled at keeping conversations on track, within a time limit and in summarising complicated infornation in a simple and accessible way
