The World of Tomorrow
With the rapidly increasing pace of technology innovation, the World of Tomorrow may look radically different in as little as 10 years. We're on the cusp of seeing innovations such as driverless cars, flying taxis, hyperloop, as well as flying and land-based delivery bots become mainstream. The World of Tomorrow
With the advent of reusable rockets, science fiction concepts such as colonizing other planets, mining asteroids and even inter-planetary trade are quickly becoming a reality.
Back on planet Earth, smart city infrastructure is being rolled out all over the globe, starting with simplistic sensors that measure and report on specific things to clusters of sensors that can literally take the pulse of micro-neighbourhoods by combining measurements of temperature, pollutants, pedestrian and vehicular traffic, ambient noise and much more. Our cities are becoming alive with infrastructure that provides us with actionable insights.
With almost every technology being developed connectivity is key, so is fast data processing either onboard a device, in the cloud or both + huge data sets requiring massive storage will be generated by all kinds of devices.
And, artificial intelligence in all its forms, including robots is a key technology that will impact businesses and individuals around the globe. Along with the many benefits that AI and other technologies will bring are cybersecurity, ethical and privacy issues undreamt of even a few short years ago.
Add in the challenges and opportunities affiliated with MedTech innovations, genetic engineering, brain-machine interfaces and nanobots and it's clear that our near-term future is going to be radically different than the world of today.

The theme of our conference was Business as Unusual and we were quite pleased to have Ms Shara Evans join us as one of our keynote speakers. She talked a lot about the future, whats happening, and gave us insights that as Fijians we can look forward to. The audience participation and feedback was excellent! In terms of the application of that we had to gather questions, Ms Evans had the most questions out of all the speakers. Thank you very much for her [speech] and it was a great conference.
We had some interesting talks from medical professionals on the future of certain medical techniques around breast imaging and we rounded up with Shara Evans to talk about health technology of the future - relating to what we do, what jobs we might have in the future, how long we might live in the future and still be doing mammography. All in all a very thought provoking, interesting talk on where life is going, and where the world is going.
We just worked with Shara Evans as a keynote speaker as well as an interactive session facilitator here at our event. Its Day 1, morning, and it was a great idea to have Shara kick off our event with her keynote. It was super engaging, super innovative, super forward thinking and definitely left the audience with lots of questions and a high level of engagement as well. It wasnt just that. For our interactive session we had to chase her out of the room because there were so many people who wanted to stay on and here more from Shara. It was a really great idea to have her facilitate both and it added loads of value to our event. Wed definitely recommend [Shara] and it added super huge value to our event. Super grateful for that. Thank you so much.
Inviting Shara to present at our annual sales and leadership conference was an opportunity to give the rest of the team the time to really absorb the information, as there is a lot of it. When I deliver it, its not nearly as concisely as what Shara does. Her presentation was excellent! In just over an hour to deliver that much content in such a meaningful manner was really refreshing. I think everyone left pretty refreshed and inspired by what you [Shara] said because its pretty cool.
We brought Shara to the City of Newcastle for the Humble Lecture - the very first one in honour of our colleague Jenny Humble. Our team was quite excited to hear about all of the innovations that Shara was able to share with us. To learn about some of the things on our horizon, and also a little bit further into the future. Some of the things that might shock them, but also some of our team have had a bit of a fear factor and Shara helped humanize that for us. And, it helped us to then also share how the smart city movement in Newcastle is making some of these SciFi [things] into reality for our city. And, Jenny would have loved it!
We engaged with Shara for a CFO breakfast in Sydney. It was a group of about 120 CFOs exploring the future of finance. Shara gave a very in-depth session all about the future of finance and how its changing the world of the CFO. Fantastic feedback! Everyone loved it. It ticked all the boxes. It was exactly what we were looking for. It was a pleasure to work with Shara. And, I look forward to once again in the future.
