Song Division is a first-of-its-kind global teambuilding and experiential marketing company, working with groups of all sizes to enhance creative thinking and performance in any industry through collaborative songwriting sessions. Participants are not required to sing on their own and the platform is designed to engage all people, including those with little to no musical ability.
Launched in Australia in 2003, Song Division was founded by songwriter and producer Andy Sharpe, based on his experience leading songwriting workshops for Aboriginal schoolchildren at the request of Australia's leading indigenous band, Yothu Yindi. Andy's extensive musical experience ranges from being signed to ACDC's label to working with leading Australian artists including iOTA, Julia Stone and members of The Church. He also has significant corporate experience, having studied law and an MBA whilst working for IBM in various finance roles for nine years.
Today, Song Division is a worldwide operation, offering its unique and engaging service in the United States, Europe, Asia, North Africa and the Middle East, as well as Australia. Its clients include global brands and multinational companies such as Coca-Cola, Microsoft, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Johnson & Johnson and Virgin Mobile, as well as industry groups such as Meeting Planners International (MPI), and not for profits including The Cerebral Palsy Society and The Salvation Army.

Talking Points
Teambuilding
Ideal for small to mid-size gatherings, Song Division's core teambuilding program involves breaking up the general session into smaller teams. Each team is assigned a band member, who leads the group in writing and performing an original song. Songs are performed in a 'Battle Of The Bands' rock concert. For an element of competition, a panel of judges can be chosen to select a winning song.

Conference Energizers & Icebreaker
A shorter program, Song Division's conference energizer is perfect for invigorating large audiences at conferences and other gatherings. This focused program is a great kick-off activity, with the audience joining in to write all the music and lyrics. Song Division can also incorporate a company and/or sponsor's key messages and slogans.

Interactive & Experiential Marketing
Using a process similar to the conference energizer, Song Division's experiential marketing program allows businesses to offer their customers or target audience the unique opportunity to create a compelling original song that highlights brand messaging and serves as the centerpiece of a dynamic publicity campaign.
