Stephanie 'Hex' Bendixsen is an Australian television presenter, speaker, partnered Twitch broadcaster and author.
Stephanie is well-known in the video game industry. In addition to her work as a presenter, she produces branded content for social media and regularly live streams on Twitch. Stephanie has also written a series of fiction books for children: Pixel Raiders, published by Scholastic Australia.
Bendixsen began her career in 2009 when she joined Good Game as its first full-time female presenter. In 2010, a children's version of the show was launched, Good Game: Spawn Point - positioning 'Bajo and Hex' as the go-to gaming experts for Australian gamers both young and old.
A public profile has provided Bendixsen with a platform from which she can act as a strong and confident voice for women in the gaming community. She is an experienced speaker and MC at events and conferences, discussing everything from opportunities for women in the industry, the evolution of video game narrative and the necessity for strong, compelling female representation in games.
Stephanie's additional TV credits include: ABC3's My Great Big Adventure (2012) - a show for young people exploring youth issues; How To Be A Fan With Hex (2016) for ABC - which explored various cultures of 'fandom' from sport to cosplay; Seven Network's video game culture and esports show, screenPLAY (2017); she fronted the exploratory new show Only in Oz (2018) for National Geographic; Thrones 360 (2019) alongside James Mathison - a Game of Thrones companion show for Foxtel; and competitive science series The Ultimate Classroom (2022) for Network Ten, which she co-hosted with maths sensation Eddie Woo.
Today, Stephanie continues to be heavily involved in video games and popular culture. With a reputation as a confident yet relatable speaker, Stephanie is regularly called-upon to appear at conferences and events, acting as MC, keynote speaker and panelist. She broadcasts live on Twitch several times a week, streaming a wide variety of video games - as well as a group collaboration with fellow ex-Good Game colleagues Nich 'Nichboy' Richardson, Gus 'Goose' Ronald and Peter 'Pierreth' Burns in Back Pocket - a video game variety show produced by LowKii Studios in Sydney.
Stephanie enjoys working with a selection of brands she feels passionately aligned with, creating bespoke content shared with her community across various social platforms, Twitch and YouTube. Stephanie is a proud Red Bull Player, and brand ambassador for Lenovo Legion and Logitech G.
